Girl Guides Thinking Day…
My Girl Scout Brownie Troop’s Thinking Day event was a big success!
Each year in February, the girl scouts across the world celebrate Thinking Day- a day when all girl scouts recognize the importance of girl scouting. This year’s Thinking Day event was a great success. My troop chose to do a booth from Pakistan. We made a flag for the flag ceremony.

The girls were very proud to be representing Pakistan, as you can see from the photographs!
After the flag ceremony, we got the booth all set up- with the poster, food and small flags that the girls made for their fellow girl scouts to take home with them…

We even made chicken and rice from the recipe Aroona Hashmi made on Cultural Night last summer!

Other Girl Scout troops really enjoyed the Pakistani Girl Guide promise and learning about henna (Razia even made the poster if you look closely you can see her applying the henna to Elsa’s little feet!!)

We had a great time representing your country and the girls really enjoyed learning about Girl Guiding around the world….

Hi Michelle,
Its really nice to see American girls holding Pakistani flag and feeling happy to represent Pakistan proudly at Thinking Day.I would also like to share with you that my club members are also Girl Guides and in islamabad (pakistan)has also participated in celebration of Thinking Day.In this connection they participated in poster competition and Quiz competition as well.So its nice that we are sharing things together cross culturally.
