Self praise gathers no moss but even then I am a law abiding citizen of Pakistan and behaved the same way during my stay at
USA while attending Pakistani Educational Leadership Institute 2007. Undoubtedly USA has made tremendous success in all the spheres of life and presently considered as the single super power because of its multi dimensional success approaches but in my opinion it is the civic sense on the roads that has contributed a lot to the over all success of USA in the world community especially when it is compared with the third world countries.

The creation of the PELI blog prompts me to reflect on my experiences working with the Pakistani Institutes at Plymouth State University (PSU), (2005, 2006, and 2007) and so I am grateful for the blog’s existence. I started by honestly asking myself, what did I know and think about Pakistan before becoming involved with the Institutes in the summer of 2005, after starting a new faculty job at PSU? As a science educator, I confess I knew where the country was located and not a lot more, except for media associations with the Taliban. Now I consume everything I come across, and my eyes scan for any reference to Pakistan in the news.
Working with educational leaders from any country would be rewarding, but interacting with colleagues from Pakistan is particularly eye-opening, because it is a chance to learn about a different culture.

Dear all
Hope everyone is fine now a days and busy as ever. Next week another workshop is begining at the teacher education department in Allama Iqbal Open University, for the development of proposals for Master level thesis. My task with the participants will be to identify problems / topics for research in education. My strategy as always will be to design activities for them in which new ideas may emerge and they may identify problem areas within their own fields of study or practice. If anybody like to share any new ideas for research, topics / problems to study and to design workshop activities, please feel free to do so.
love for all

No matter how busy you are but we all must keep in touch through BLOG and thank you PELI for making us work on it. I am busy these days in planning and managing things at school as the academic year will start from 27th of August, 2007 . The up gradation of the school is a step forward for Sanjan Nagar as we are initiating 11th grade this year. Affiliation work for 11th Grade with Aga Khan Board is completed but the admissions are in progress.
I am very proud that our 10th grade students have passed Aga Khan Board Examination with first division. Four students of this first batch of Sanjan Nagar got A and the rest of them A-1.
Warda Shakoor who is our student of Grade 9 went to USA this August for one year iEARN-YES Scholarship Program. She was selected as an iEARN-YES qualified student in April. She is now housed in the State Wisconsin at Menomonie with an American family. I hope her experience there with family and the school is as wonderful as Saba Ali’s, our previous year YES student.
Waiting to know what you all are busy in as it’s always good to share things with friends. Missing you all .
Take Care
